The short version

We collect only what we need to run the festival, use privacy-first tools, set no advertising or tracking cookies, and show no cookie banner because the only cookies we use are essential. You can ask us to delete your data at any time at hello@freshfridayfestival.com.

Who we are

Fresh Friday Festival (run by FFF Staff) is a weekly curated showcase of AI music videos. This policy explains what personal data we handle and why. For anything in here, reach us at hello@freshfridayfestival.com.

What we collect
Why we use it

To operate the festival: to review and schedule submissions, run the premiere lineup, present your premiere and credits, keep the site secure, and contact you about your own submission. Where the law asks for a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you asked for and our legitimate interest in running and protecting the festival. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies: a sign-in session cookie so you stay logged in, and security cookies set by Cloudflare to protect the site. We do not use advertising, marketing or cross-site tracking cookies, and our analytics is cookieless. Because these cookies are essential to a function you asked for, we do not show a consent banner. You can block cookies in your browser, but you will not be able to sign in without the session cookie.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share your personal data only with the providers that run the service for us, and each only handles what it needs for its part:

Aggregate statistics and sponsors

From time to time a brand sponsors a Friday and provides that week's community prize. We may share aggregate, anonymised statistics with sponsors and partners, for example how many people watched, how many videos were submitted, how many votes were cast, or how often a sponsor's link was followed. These figures describe the audience as a whole and never identify you. We do not share your name, email, account details, or anything else that identifies you with a sponsor, and we do not sell your data. If we ever need to share something that could identify you, for example to send you a prize you have won, we will ask for your clear consent first.

Where your data is processed

These providers operate globally and may process data in countries outside your own, including outside the EEA and the UK, under the safeguards provided by their own privacy frameworks.

What is shown publicly

If your video is selected, the video and the artist name you provide are shown publicly as part of the festival and its archive. Your email address and account details are never shown publicly.

Messaging between creators

Creator-to-creator messaging is for adults and is off by default. You must be 18 or older and turn it on in your profile (confirming your age) before you can message or be messaged, and only claimed creators who have turned it on can take part. You stay in control: turn it back off any time, and block any creator from your conversation with them. Messages are private between the two of you. If you report a message, our staff can review that specific reported message to act on it; we do not otherwise read private conversations. Deleting your account removes your conversations. The rules for messaging are in our Terms of Use.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and submission data while your account is active or as long as needed to run the festival and present its archive. Ask us and we will delete your account and personal data, except anything we are required to keep for legal or security reasons.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop using it, by emailing hello@freshfridayfestival.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Age and children

You can browse the public showcase at any age. You must be at least 13 to create an account or sign in (for example, to vote), and at least 18 to submit a video or use creator-to-creator messaging. The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data; if you believe a child under 13 has given us data, contact us and we will delete it. Some countries set a higher age for online consent, so please only use the site if you meet the age requirements where you live. The full age terms are in our Terms of Use.

Changes

We may update this policy as the festival grows. The date at the top always shows the current version.
